A Leader in Quality and Environmental Management Systems
CTC’s commitment to quality is exemplified by its early participation in the national and international standards-setting organizations and its subsequent ISO 9001:2001 (Quality) and 14001:2004 (Environmental) certifications. CTC was one of the first nonprofit research and development organizations to simultaneously certify to both the ISO 9001:2001 and 14001:2004 international standards, achieving this distinction in 1998. Since that time, additional locations have been added to the certification scope (see listing below), and all locations conform to ISO practices and procedures.
CTC’s quality system has been further enhanced through product-specific certifications such as the AS9100 certification for all aerospace activities, and
CTC also has the processes and procedures in place to meet the requirements of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) for Development Version 1.2, the latest version released by the Carnegie Mellon® Software Engineering Institute that defines industry-best practices. The Information Technology Solutions Operations Center of CTC was appraised at Maturity Level 3 using the continuous appraisal method in October 2008.

CTC’s uncompromised commitment to quality translates to cost, schedule, and performance benefits for our clients. This is exemplified by the adoption of a corporate-wide Quality/Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System (QMS/EMS) that is certified to ISO 9001:2001 (quality management) and 14001:2004 (environmental), and AS9100 (aerospace), which, through continual improvement, strives to incorporate industry-best practices. |
